WHO: Any Division of Developmental Disabilities qualified contractor of HCBS waiver services with eligible employees participating in the Certified Direct Support Professional (DSP) Registered Apprenticeship Program.
WHAT:
- Contractors with eligible employees will receive up to two payments of $1,560 for each employee’s progressive completion of the registered apprenticeship program.
- Contractor will receive one payment when the employee completes 50% of the program requirements and a second payment upon successful completion of the program.
- Eligible employees are limited to those enrolled in the Certified Direct Support Professional Apprentice Program as of or after July 1, 2022 and not employed by the Contractor in the immediate 6 months preceding enrollment in the registered apprenticeship program.
WHEN: Payments began January 1st, 2023. Data entry and review is completed on a quarterly basis.
WHY: A talent acquisition pipeline with increased staff retention; employees gaining national best practice skills; mitigation of risk and improved individual outcomes.
HOW: Providers will complete progress updates in the Department of Labor’s RAPIDS database and successfully transmit data to support the performance standards in a web-based platform.
