Wendy is a case manager in Jasper County. She serves a woman who is hearing impaired and relies on interpreters as well as reading lips. This caused a huge barrier when her service provider issued a mandate for staff to wear cloth masks. Wendy acted quickly commissioning supports in our community to make a cloth mask that had a clear shield in front of her lips so the person served could still read her lips while working with her.
