We want to recognize staff working in a home in Kansas City where multiple individuals tested positive for COVID-19. These staff provided critical care for all 9 individuals in the home during this very difficult time. Staff moved into the home and shared shifts working tirelessly so we could isolate the home, prevent further spreading of COVID and keep everyone safe. The staff completed frequent monitoring of symptoms and had to support individuals as they went in and out of hospitals, had to call 911 a few times and never gave up! They are keeping the home clean, following protocols from the Health Department and policies that our agency has put in place. They are doing everything they can to provide care and doing a great job. Despite all of the difficult things they've encountered, they have not given up and keep coming back to make sure the individuals are safe and cared for. These staff have given up their own time and regular schedules right now to be with the individuals at Sycamore and are making great sacrifices and they're doing an excellent job!
