World Cup Soccer is Coming to Kansas City

The FIFA World Cup is coming to Kansas City (KC) June 11th - July 19th, 2026. There will be games held at Arrowhead Stadium, and fan events held throughout KC during this time.

Tips for Navigating World Cup Soccer

Continuity of Operations and other considerations:

  • Heat -- The tournament runs from June 11-July 19, when Missouri’s heat and humidity are at their best. Many of the countries that will play here are unaccustomed to Missouri weather, so expect hospitals and clinics to be filled with heat injuries. The best plan for most is to stay inside where it is cool.
  • Traffic -- The KC area will host four team basecamps. With teams, their fans, and other visitors, there is potential to see a very large increase in traffic. Plan to reschedule visits, non-essential appointments and other travel to dates between matches or after July 19.
  • Plan Ahead – With many additional people in the area, expect congestion at common areas – like grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations and convenience stores, fast food and other restaurants. Plan ahead! Make sure to have plenty of non-perishable food, paper items (paper towels and toilet paper), consumable medical equipment (diapers, etc.) on hand. Fill up gas tanks before things get started.
  • Weather – This is also the time of year to expect storms and even tornados in Missouri. Stay weather-alert, stock emergency kits, and be prepared!
