Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilities

MACDDS is an association of 43 county Senate Bill 40 boards as well as well as the City board of St Louis. Collectively, member boards represent over $44 million in locally generated tax revenues used to serve persons with developmental disabilities. About 50% of the Senate Bill 40 boards in the State of Missouri are MACDDS members.

Meeting at least monthly, MACDDS serves as an important focal point for its members. It provides a base from which to support and protect the concept of locally based services through ongoing training and discussion, meetings with key legislators and their administrative personnel, and dialogue with the Department of Mental Health and the Division of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
