Online Training Module-Autism in young Children: This module is an overview of the characteristics of autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and the criteria used to diagnose children with ASD. Family members, childcare providers, health care providers, school personnel and others who interact with young children are encouraged to take this training module to learn more about the signs of ASD.
The Down Syndrome Association: The mission of the Down Syndrome Association of Greater St. Louis is to benefit the lives of people with Down Syndrome and their families through individual and family supports, information, public awareness and advocacy.
Special School District (SSD): SSD provides special education services to students in a variety of placements, which are governed by the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Services are based entirely on a student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
Community Action Agency of St. Louis County: Community Action Agency of St. Louis County, Inc. (d/b/a CAASTLC) is part of a national network of federally funded Community Action Agencies (CAAs), created by the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964. CAAs administer various programs on community levels to assist low-income people out of poverty conditions. Nationwide, CAAs help 11.5 million people toward self-sufficiency. CAASTLC is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit corporation that has provided services in St. Louis County for over 30 years.
