Intake and Eligibility

Intake and Eligibility staff:

• Are responsible for overseeing the determination of eligibility of individuals for Division of Developmental Disabilities (DD) services.
• Facilitate redeterminations for DD services for individuals served. 5, 18 and 22 years of age .
• Facilitate and/or consults in the initial determination and redetermination of eligibility for all individuals in a waiver program (Comprehensive, Community Support, Partnership for Hope, Autism and Lopez).
• Assist ineligible individuals/families to connect with other resources to meet their needs

In October 2008, the Division of Developmental Disabilities began a statewide employment initiative. The driving force behind this initiative is the individuals receiving DD services who are saying they want to work. Our vision is to increase the number of people working in integrated employment. As part of our restructure process, there is now an Employment Coordinator in each of the Division's 11 regions.
