At St. Louis Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center consumers are assigned to a residential or program based upon needs. We have four residential programs:
- Cognitive-Behavioral Program
- Deaf Services Program
- New Outlook Program
- Social Learning Program
- Transitional Rehabilitation Program
Consumers live in the residential area of the program assigned, participate in the activities designed for that program, and work together with the staff and other consumers in that program. Each program has its own rules and its own unique set of rehabilitation and treatment activities. These are designed to help consumers get to know themselves better and work toward their own recovery.
There are also non-residential programs at the facility. These programs don't have areas for consumers to live in, but they do provide services that consumers may be eligible to take part in. The Client Work Program helps with work skills, and the Freedom Bound Program helps with any drug or alcohol problems. The Central Activity Therapy Program provides leisure, fitness, educational and cosmetology services to consumers. Centralized Services also provides therapy and education on a variety of rehabilitation issues and topics.
