Volunteer Services Department

The Volunteer Services Program at Metropolitan St. Louis Psychiatric Center (MPC) is recognized by the United Way of Greater St. Louis Volunteer Center for its quality and commitment to strengthen the experience of volunteers and enhance the human resources available to all community agencies.

There are many opportunities for community volunteers and student educational experiences available throughout the facility. Volunteers and students at MPC use their talents and energy to support the efforts of professional staff. Training and education is provided to familiarize volunteers with hospital policies and rules as well as patient interactions. Positions are available for volunteers 17 years and older from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.

Only volunteers can provide the social acceptance and reassurance clients need to support their efforts. As a volunteer you will have the opportunity to gain training and experience in your chosen field and make a difference in someone's life.
