Background Screening Services

The State of Missouri, through various departments, offers several services that may provide background information on caregivers, including:

• State criminal background checks, conducted by the Missouri State Highway Patrol;
• Child abuse/neglect records, maintained by the Family Support Division;
• The Employee Disqualification List, maintained by the Department of Health and Senior Services;
• The Disqualified Registry, maintained by the Department of Mental Health;
• Child Day Care licensing records, maintained by the Department of Health and Senior Services
• Family Care Safety Registry

All of these records are now available through a single, centralized request form.
