APPIC & Application Materials

The FSH internship participates in the APPIC Internship Matching Program and adheres to all APA and APPIC rules governing the selection of interns and the offering of positions. Applicants must obtain an Applicant Agreement and register for the Match in order to be eligible to match to our program. Information for our program is also available through the APPIC Directory. You can easily find our program by selecting internship from the program type menu bar and listing as the Training Director.

Interns applying to FSH should use the AAPI Online available through APPIC. The AAPI Online should be used by students to apply to all APPIC-member internship programs. Your cover letter for your FSH application should specifically address which track(s) (Forensic Evaluation and/or General Treatment) you are applying for, your clinical interests, including which FSH clinical rotations you are most interested in. All applications must be submitted online. All online applications should be received in the selection portal by November 15. Applicants will be notified of their interview status via email by December 15.

Selection Process

All applications will be reviewed by the Internship Faculty. Applicants who are deemed to be a strong fit for our program will be invited for an interview. While in-person interviews are strongly encouraged, they are not required. Applicants who are unable to travel to Fulton may schedule a telephone interview.

Applicants matched with this internship will be notified of acceptance by APPIC on Match Notification Day. This internship site agrees to abide by the APPIC policy that no person at this training facility will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any intern applicant. The only information we will communicate to applicants prior to the release of the APPIC Match results is whether or not the applicants remain under consideration for admission. Please refer to the APPIC website for additional information.

Employment at FSH is contingent on the results of background screenings, including a urine drug analysis and a criminal background check
