Deaf Services Advocates are employees of Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs) or substance use treatment providers who have received specialized training from the Office of Deaf Services in topics including DMH’s specialized service options for deaf and hard of hearing consumers; hearing loss and assistive technologies; legal and policy requirements for accessible services, and more. They work within their agencies to support the provision of culturally appropriate, linguistically accessible services and the rights of Deaf and hard of hearing consumers to make informed decisions about services and communication options.

The agencies listed below participate in the Deaf Services Advocates program. Deaf and hard of hearing individuals who live in a county served by one of these agencies may contact their Deaf Services Advocate with questions or concerns.
