Treatment is group focused and utilizes the problem solving model in the development of social and emotional skill building. We believe in the value of community/group as a vital part of empowering competencies in our youth. Within the group system, treatment is individualized to meet the special needs of our population. Each resident of Cottonwood
has an Individualized Treatment Plan that is developed cooperatively by the multi-disciplinary treatment team with parent or guardian input. This plan outlines treatment objectives, competencies and interventions for achieving identified goals. Parents, guardians, and agencies involved with our youth are encouraged to be an active part of the child’s treatment.
