Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center is a state facility within the Department of Mental Health and is covered by the Missouri Merit System.
Cottonwood Residential Treatment Center uses E-Verify after an offer of employment has been extended and accepted to verify employment eligibility. E-Verify is an electronic, Web-based system to verify employment eligibility in partnership between Homeland Security, Social Security Administration and Citizenship and Immigration Services.

- In Person-- Print the application and drop it off at the Reception Desk at Cottonwood. You must bring your driver's license with you when you drop off the application.
- By E-mail (email@example.com)--if called for an interview, we will need a copy of your driver's license
- By Fax (573-290-5124)--include a copy of your driver's license
Once we receive and review your application, you may be contacted for an interview. For those contacted, you will need to fill out this additional paperwork and bring it with you to the interview.
MERIT SYSTEM POSITIONS: Applying for a position covered by the Missouri Merit System involves completion of an official State application on-line at www.ease.mo.gov. Click here to obtain additional information or to print an application if it is not yet available on-line for the position for which you are applying. If a written examination is required you will be notified of the date, time and place of examination. Other classifications are evaluated based on the criteria of education and experience and do not require a written examination.
After completion of the examination process, your score(s) will be sent to you by mail. Your name and score will be placed on the appropriate register in grade order. When vacancies occur, the Department can request a certificate listing the names and scores of eligible applicants. Merit System rules require that vacancies be filled from the top 15 available applicants listed on the certificate.
