Welcome, visitor, to the Center for Behavioral Medicine. We want to take a moment to orient you to our hospital.
Our visiting hours are 6:30pm to 8:00pm every day.
On weekends and holidays, visiting hours will be between the hours of 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
ALL VISITS TO THE IST UNIT MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE
We know that the individual you are here to visit may have asked you to bring items to him/her. Please carefully read the following in order to know what is and is not allowed, and to understand why.
Center for Behavioral Medicine wants our patients to be comfortable, but also as safe as possible.
You may bring the following to the units (any item may be restricted by the treatment teams if necessary due to safety concerns):
- Up to 10 changes of comfortable clothing and underwear
- Hats and gloves
- Coat or jacket
- Four pairs of shoes (no heavy boots or high heels)
The following items may be restricted by the treatment teams if necessary due to safety concerns:
- Shoe laces
- Draw strings
- Panty hose
- Hair ribbons
- Robe sashes
**For safety and treatment purposed, we DO NOT ALLOW:
Reading materials that are explicit or pornographic; Cigarettes, lighters matches, weapons (or materials which could be used as weapons), spiral notebooks, tape recorders, audio/video tapes, cameras, TV's electrical appliances, aerosol cans, glass containers, sharp/pointed objects, shor-shorts, cut-out tank tops, heavy shoes/boots, sunglasses.
We do not allow for “open containers” (i.e. soda from restaurants, open bottles/cans of beverage).
If the person you are visiting has asked you to bring in medicines, please coordinate this with his/her Doctor or Nurse. This is a treatment decision to be made, and the patient will not be allowed to keep them in his/her possession.
Individuals must be 18 years or older to visit on the units. Our Security staff cannot watch younger children in the lobby. Please do not bring younger children to the facility, for their safety. Thank you!
